Ingrid Brands cofounded and became CEO of Biostrand in 2019, with a commitment to establishing it as a global player in the genetic research space. Dr. Brands is an entrepreneur and seasoned leader with more than two decades of senior research and management experience. In her 25-year career in medicine and neurorehabilitation she has contributed to innovative approaches in neuropsychological rehabilitation and enhanced the care of patients suffering from acquired brain injuries.
Dr. Brands has held senior research posts at Libra Revalidatie & Audiologie, Eindhoven, and the department of Rehabilitation of Erasmus University, the Netherlands. She was sub-director of education in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Libra and active in several committees of the Dutch association of PM&R. Dr. Brands has a PhD in neurorehabilitation, University of Maastricht, The Netherlands and graduated Magna cum Laude in Medicine, University of Leuven, Belgium. Specializing in PM&R.
