Job Description

The Utrecht site focuses on the manufacturing of recombinant proteins and antibodies, and we’re expanding its DSP capabilities. We have a position available for a skilled Research Technician or Scientist with a background in protein purification and affinity for process automation. The DSP lab-team produces and purifies recombinant proteins and antibodies from mammalian cell cultures.

Key responsibilities shall include:

In your role as Protein Chemist, you will be encouraged to identify and discuss process upgrades in protein purification methods or in any methods used throughout the site as a whole, that will result in a better outcome for our clients!

Requirements:
  • A BSc or MSc degree in Life Sciences
  • Experience in protein purification using Akta platforms
  • Experience in protein purification methods (Affinity Chromatography, IEX chromatography, HIC, SEC and Multimodal Chromatography)
  • Affinity with and experience in process automation
  • Experience in standard molecular biology techniques or eagerness to learn
  • Accuracy to document your experiments in lab journals and LIMS systems
  • Excellent personal skills to work both independently and in a larger team
  • Being keen on details without losing the scope of your project
  • Speaking the Dutch language or willingness to learn
